“I’m not easily impressed, but I am absolutely amazed with the results from this food. Zeus (my gentle giant) has responded so well to this brand from the very first helping. It’s extremely affordable to start with, and as opposed to the 1kg I was feeding him a day, with Lokuno, he only needs 460grams per day!!! "My yorkie was diagnosed with diabetes last year November and its life changing, you do not know where to start and you are so fearful of everything. The vets recommend using Royal canine or Hills diabetic foods, which I did but I just found that my dog wasn't completely happy/healthy with the food and except for that the cost is ridiculous. That got me researching for alternatives as I could not afford all the medical bills, monthly medication and to top it off a HUGE expense for a food brand that my dog is eating but I am not seeing improvement on. So I researched all the different kibble combinations and ingredients and what I found was absolutely shocking, I even considered cooking food at this point until I found Lokuno. I have been super impressed as all my dogs are seniors and I have now put all the animals (cats included) on their food. And so far so good. Their dry and itchy skin has cleared up, by sticking to the daily amount recommended the dogs are maintaining a good weight. All I would recommend for any diabetic dog is just to add a little extra protein and some veggies to the kibble, just to ensure you cut down the carbs a little more. More pet parents should research their food choices and ask questions. The ingredients and combinations are important. Diabetic dogs needs around 30% to 40% protein around 10 % - 12% fat and the food should be low on the glycemic table but like anything there is no brand that have the correct combinations in saying this, I fully recommend Lokuno whole hardheartedly. As a pet parents, we should care about the quality of food that we give your animals, to help avoid our beloved pets get sick, massive vets bills and traumatic stress on both you and the dog. I have learnt this the hard way."
